Learning 2.0 revisited

After a long interval, I'm making a second attempt at the Learning 2.0 program.

First impressions

Quidnunc. One who is constantly asking: 'What now? 'What's the news?'; hence an inquisitive person; a gossip. OED
Flaneur. A lounger or saunterer, an idle man about town. OED

I came across 'quidnuncs and flaneurs' in the reminiscences of an Australian writer, describing his youthful impressions of Melbourne when he arrived from Scotland in 1840. I wonder what he would have thought of bloggers...
